This contest uses the Bridge Designer 2016 free software (download link below), and is a taste into virtual bridge building. Your goal is to design a bridge that safely supports a truck using the design constraints given below. The person who designs the lowest cost bridge which supports the truck will win the prize.
General Rules
The contest starts on February 3rd, 2017. All final submissions are due by February 28th by midnight (EST). Submissions received after this will not be accepted.

You can submit as many designs as you want, but only the lowest cost design that meets the requirements will be considered.
The winner (lowest cost design that meets the requirements) will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
Design Rules:
– You must use the 2016 Bridge Designer Contest 2nd Edition software
– You must use site plan 79C (base cost: $116,200.00).
– Deck elevation: 20m
– Standard abutments
– 1 pier which is 4 meters tall
– 2 cable anchorages
– High Strength Concrete (0.15m thick)
– Standard 225kn truck loading (2 lanes)
